GRC minarets and towers

Minarets are tall and slender, so weight is the main problem. GRC lets us build the visible shaft, balconies and crown as a light shell around a steel or concrete core, with all the detail cast in.

We make complete minarets as well as parts (balconies, brackets, crowns and finials) to add to an existing tower.

Typical drawing. Sizes, profile and finish are made to your design.

How we make and fix it

Minarets are cast as stacked sections with internal fixings and set around a structural core designed by your engineer. Each section is trial-fitted to the next before dispatch so the tower goes up true.

GRC minarets: questions

More about GRC

Is a GRC minaret load-bearing?

No. The GRC is the outer shell and the detail. It is carried by a steel or concrete core sized by the project's structural engineer, and we design the fixings to suit.

Can you match an existing minaret?

Yes. We take profiles on site or from photographs and drawings, and make moulds to match.
